Volunteer Teacher Assistant

- Age: min. 18 years old
- Duration: 1, 2 or 3 months
- Start Dates: Flexible departures from the second week of September to the first week of May

This program encourages students at a school to meet different cultures, as well as improve their language skills meeting a native speaker. The teacher assistant will be shadowing one or many language teachers during classes. It is a useful international volunteering experience that will enhance the participant’s professional career. Additionally, it is a good opportunity for participants to develop communication/teaching skills and learn some basics of the destination language.

Teachers assistant are expected to work 18h per week with a language teacher. The schedule will be set with the school. Teaching hours can be scheduled from Monday to Saturday.
School levels: primary, middle and high schools

Participants can be placed in a volunteer host family, in a residence or in a boarding school.
Full board is included.

- Before applying, check the school breaks to make sure the participant will be able to assist a teacher
- Participants will be hosted and receive full board in exchange of the teaching hours (no money compensation)
- Participants can be placed all throughout the destination country
- Non-European applicants need to check if they require a visa, most of the nationalities enter on a tourist visa
- No teaching experience/degree is required but preferable
- Participants must arrive at the closest airport / train station to their placement (in the morning of the starting date)

• Have English, German or Spanish as native language (other languages on demand)
• Provide a CV, criminal record and completed application form
• Have an A2 level in French
• Have travel insurance covering sickness, accidents, repatriation and third party liability
